• 2012 Eugene W. Hinderer III was awarded 1st place undergraduate poster in the computer and information sciences category at the Kentucky Academy of Science Annual Meeting.
• 2012 Joshua M. Mitchell was awarded 2nd Place Cancer Research Presentation Award in the Undergraduate Student Category at Research Louisville.
• 2015 Tamas Nagy was awarded NSF Graduate Research Fellowship in his last semester working as an undergraduate lab assistant in the lab.
• 2017 Kelly Sovacool took 2nd place in the Oswald Research and Creativity Competition in the Biological Sciences category.
